I'm done with Summer quarter! Yay! I'm excited for the month long break, but I know in a week or two I'll be complaining of boredom. I have two classes next quarter and those will keep me plenty busy. Especially with one of them being the first of three advanced ASL classes.

My sunburn has healed completely and I actually have a nice shade of tan. Compared to the pale, blinding white that I usually am, it's nice having tan lines.

It's hot as hell right now. The temp outside is 93° and the thermostat inside my room says it's 90°. I have a small, 9" desktop fan blowing at it's highest speed and I'm still sweating. It's ridiculous being in temps this high without having air conditioning. Hell, Vegas is only 101 right now. And in Phoenix it's only 95. What is wrong with this picture?! It's gotten to the point where I'm tempted to go out somewhere just so that I can be in my air conditioned car for a while.

My friend's BBQ is this weekend. I'm fairly sure she'll ambush me with sunscreen again. This past weekend I went up to her place to hang out and tried to learn how to ride a motorcycle. Keyword is tried. I ended up with 4 bruises on my right leg, two on my left leg, a sore right back and a sore left arm. The 250 dirt bike was a little too tall for me and I was having issues balancing. Since we were going to be out in the sun for a while, she attacked me with her sunscreen beforehand. It worked because we were outside for an hour {not on the bike the whole time; there was a picnic table to paint} and I didn't burn again. I'll be trying again on a smaller dirt bike this weekend.

Ugh, I can't get over this heat right now. Seattle is not supposed to be this hot. Especially since most of the residences are not made with air conditioning. I'm not supposed to be sweating in my own home. Not when I'm sitting completely still. I need to buy ice cream.

Alright, I have nothing else to say really ... I think I'll go back to my failed attempts at keeping cool. The sun sets in an hour and once it's down, hopefully, the room will cool off. I'm definitely going out after the sun goes down. I need to buy food. I've only had a sandwich today and there's nothing to eat in my fridge.

Until next time!

I'm dealing with the same heat issues down here in Portland. It is HOT and we have noooo a/c. And we basically live in a one bedroom hot box.

The Pacific Northwest wasn't made for this kind of weather.

Yeah, my house doesn't have air conditioning either, so I usually just keep my fan on and a spray bottle filled with water nearby. The water makes a nice difference.

I wish I could ride a motorcycle. I tried riding my dad's Vespa, and I was embarrassingly terrified.

It has been incredibly hot over here too. Hot and humid. I could shower up to 5 times a day just to keep cool
