welcome to my mind ...

With my regular job, all my breaks are paid so I usually just kind of take them whenever I want. At the part time job they're regulated so the supervisor got upset when I hadn't received my break on time. I told him that I knew it was policy, but I really didn't mind. He just kept apologizing and even told me to clock out a few minutes later so that I could get a full 15 minute break. I told him with the job tomorrow morning, I'd rather clock out on time and just take the hit. He played off that he didn't hear anything and let me go.

I know that it's the rules, but sometimes things happen and people don't get their breaks when they're supposed to. It's really not a big deal. Now, if I had been there for 6 hours or more without getting a break, I might have said something. The machines won't let it go that long anyway, but still. When I'm only working 4 hours, not taking a break is no big deal for me.

Tomorrow I have both jobs to work, but then Wednesday and Thursday I'll get to sleep in, which working 4 hours each evening at the part time job. Tonight went well; I wasn't working with people in a bad mood and there was a different closing manager, so I wasn't distracted by anything. I have a feeling I'm not going to be so lucky tomorrow night. As long as I don't have to deal with a repeat of Saturday night then everything should be fine. I can handle people not being in a good mood and I can handle the distraction of my crush, but I'd rather not have to deal with both at the same time.

The weather has started to hint at Autumn coming. There's a chance of rain every day this week with the temps only reaching up to the low-mid 70s. It's definitely a nice break from the sunny 80s that we've been having all summer. I can finally give my fan a break; although, this summer was a lot more mild than last summer. I'm definitely looking forward to when the highs are only in the 60s and the chances of rain increase.
