Red is the color of blood That flows from my neck Orange is the color of fire That melts away my flesh Yellow is the color of bees That sting and send poison through my veins Green is the color of sickness That rests in my stomach Blue is the color of pain and sorrow That has caused me to do this Purple is the color of the flower That lies on my grave And black is the color of death That has slowly crept upon me Monkey's poem {© 2004}
And now you come to join the wonders of my life. So welcome, welcome all. Enter that which is my hell. That which is my life still unlived. Welcome to this the pain that keeps me alive. Welcome to my broken heart, a result of many relationships passed. And to this curse, I am forced to live. To my loneliness which has come from being forced to go. Welcome to this ... as I leave. Welcome now, to my suicide. Life and Love {© 2004}
Life and love alike are similar to flowers. Like a rose. Flowers are born, they bloom, they wilt and they die. That's exactly how life and love work. They are born, bloom, wilt and die and in that time frame we go through so much shit, a herd of cattle could not match it. Love/Hate {© 2004}
There is a very thin line between love and hate. You don't realize just how thin that line is until you are standing over it; half of you on the side of love and the other half on the side of hate. It is a really confusing time and it's not easy to deal with. All you can do is hope that the time passes quickly. | injury numero uno Tuesday. 11.6.07 8:43 am I got my first work-related injury today. It was serious enough that I had to fill out an incident report {which is actually more annoying than the injury itself} and the manager sent me home. I still get paid for the rest of the day because I was injured at work and sent home. I guess that's another thing I need to get used to, along with the law-required breaks. What happened was a pallet got stuck on the ramp while they were taking it off the truck. All 5 of us had to push it to get unstuck and back up in the truck. After it was unstuck, I took a step back and my leg went right through the hole between the ramp and the edge of the truck. My ass is what stopped me. I now have a nice scratched bruise on the backside of my thigh, right under my ass. It's about 5 inches long and about 2 inches wide, at the biggest point; it's scratched, bruised and swollen. Luckily it's not bleeding. I would have never been able to get the blood out of the white pants I was wearing. According to the 4 people who saw me fall, I'm not the first person to have done that. Apparently they all have too. It's sort of an initiation ... I'm now an official truck/stocker employee. I definitely bruised the muscle because every time it flexes {basically whenever I move} I can feel the tension. I need to call my boss tomorrow just to let her know that I'm fine. I don't have to work again until Saturday, but I'm supposed to be helping Jean move her stuff out over the next few days and I'm also going out on Friday because it's payday. I guess I'll just have to see how I feel. Sitting hurts. Once I'm in a comfy position with as little pressure on my leg as possible, I'm okay. As soon as I go to move to a different position, the pain hits. I'll be fine though. This is not the worst injury I've had. It's just in an inconvenient spot. It should be healed completely in a month. So now, basically, I'm not going to be doing much in the way of anything the next few days. Walking involves limping because of the swelling, I can't bend my leg correctly. I'd use crutches to help, if I had them. But I don't and I can't afford them, so I limp. Ha, I was complaining about having nothing to talk about; now I can update on my injury every couple of days. 4 Comments. Incident reports are bad enough, but when you get injured on the job for the government, they're SO much more annoying. Over the summer, I ended up slicing a nice little gash on my index finger that wouldn't stop bleeding about 1/2" across and about 3/32" deep, so I went to the clinic on base and they put this stuff on it to seal it up. Anyway, I thought that was going to be the end of it. It wasn't a major injury or anything like that, but then they made me fill out a 4 page injury report, had my supervisor do the same, and THEN after all that they had a guy from the occupational safety office do an exit interview with me. I had planned to go back to work, but after it was done, my time was up anyway so I went home. Pretty laaaame. » ranor on 2007-11-06 12:14:22 That sucks. :( I'd say "get well soon" but technically you're not sick, and a month is a long time... Uh... hope it doesn't bother you much... » randomjunk on 2007-11-06 05:15:32 Ouch! I've read arnica gel/lotion is good for bruises. » ikimashokie on 2007-11-06 06:47:07 Ouch! If you are here, I would bring over stuff which my mother says that will work great for those kind of injuries. Since you are not or I am not there, hope you wont feel the pain that much often and the limping will go away. » Nuttz on 2007-11-08 02:01:27
