I called the accountant's office and was told information that had me calling 3 different phone numbers. I should not have to go through this.

I don't know what happened in the transfer between accountants, but they only had, on record, my information from the day the transfer started. Nothing from the prior accountant.

So I called Mama's to get the phone number for the other accountant. Talked to Erin for a few minutes and found out that I'm not the only one who didn't get their other W-2. Which, technically, is against the law. The businesses are supposed to have the W-2s sent out {postmarked} by January 31st. What's today? March 10th. What they're doing is illegal.

What I also found out is that my W-2 might be at the Northside store, so I was given that number too. I called them first and was a little relieved to find out it was there. In my case {I don't know about everyone else's} I think I know what happened. I didn't know I was going to get a W-2 from them, so I never called to have my address changed. So it was probably sent out, but sent back due to the address they have on record not being the correct one.

I was given 1 of 3 options: go to the Northside store to get it, have them bring it to the location closest to me or to send them a self-addressed and stamped envelope and they'd send it to me. Since I can't just take a drive to get it, I have to go with option 3. I'm not a patient person and I'm not going to be settled about it until I receive my form.

All in all, this is bullshit. There's no other way to describe this situation.

So what I'm going to do is go to the post office in a little bit, get an overnight envelope, self-address/stamp it, overnight that one to Mama's and leave them a note telling them to overnight my W-2 back to me. I want to have it no later than Friday. And if I send it out today, they'll get it tomorrow, they send it back, I should have it no later than Wednesday.

In other, brief news, I might go to the mall today. Might not. It depends on my mood later on in the day. So I'll be off and on NuTang throughout the day. See ya'll then.

I used to wonder about that too, but one day, I asked. And apparently the left one is smaller. It still seems stupid to me, because if I were a guy I'd rather have two uneven sized ones than just one... and that I think, was how the conversation about having one got started. :P
