I have no idea why The Emporer's New Groove popped into my head, but that's where the title is from. It has absolutely nothing to do with this entry.

Jake surprised me yesterday by picking me up from work. I had seen mom's car there so I knew Steve was there to get me, but I wasn't quite ready to leave yet. When I was finally ready, I started to head up to the doors and I saw Steve drive away. I stared out the door, dumbfounded. For a minute I stood there trying to figure out how I was going to get home ... until Jake walked in the door.

It was a very nice surprise. I was pretty happy to see him there. My coworkers were showing a bit of interest too ... mostly because I kissed him when he got there.

We got some shopping done and came home. I was pretty tired so we decided not to go out. He did stay here last night, though. I was so incredibly happy. I didn't sleep very well; I kept waking up every hour or so, but waking up to see him still lying next to me was enough to keep me relaxed about waking up so often. It's a little difficult cuz he's an insomniac who's not used to going to bed until 2 or 3am. I fell asleep around 11ish. But with time, we'll get more used to each other's sleep patterns.

His mom wasn't too happy, but she doesn't know the whole truth. She thinks we went down the strip and by the time we got back to my place it was just so late and we were both so tired that he just crashed on my couch. She doesn't know that we never went out and that he slept in my room. We're taking it easy on her. I know that lying isn't the way to go, but she'd freak if she knew all of the truth all at once.

He took me to work this morning and headed home. Surprisingly he only had one message and she was still asleep when he got home. It helped with him not getting into trouble.

I can't wait until the next time he stays over. Hopefully next time I won't have to work the next day.

Anywho, work was pretty chill today. I was so involved with my work that I forgot to take my lunch. By the time I realized it, it was bascially too late so I just asked if I could clock out half an hour early. I did so, talked with Yvonne for a minute, bought a few more items and then left.

I have a new necklace. It's fake, but it still looks nice. It's been a long time since I've worn a necklace so it looks a little odd. Oh well. People will get used to it.

I don't know if I'll be seeing Jacob today. I hope I do, but I'll be alright if I don't.

K, I've got another blog to write ... it'll be PWP. I shall write on this name probably tomorrow.

Ok.. did I miss something while I was away doing my homework?? I had that feeling that you guys seem to be dating but since I don't recall reading it, I just brushed that feeling aside.. are you guys going out?

Fake jewelry is sometimes the best. It looks real and only you know its fake. But isnt it funny how we feel so guilty about it being fake? For example: when people say, "Wow! That necklace is so beautiful. Where did you get it from?" Response: Oh, just at some shop in the mall. or Oh, I bought it online or you finally come out with the truth: It's Fake. LOL! Why do we do that?

Eh, carpet's not that great. There's this lump under it right next to the wood floor and for a really long time I've been scared that it's a dead hamster... damn urban legends...
